Ákos Schneider

Ákos Schneider is an assistant professor and the Head of the General Theoretical Studies module at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest (MOME). He earned his PhD degree from the Doctoral School of MOME in 2022. In the same year, he published his first book, “The Limits of Human-centered Design: Speculative Design and Posthuman Condition” (in Hungarian). Since 2023, he has been a research fellow at the Future Potentials Observatory, focusing on the interrelations of digital culture and contemporary design. He is the author of numerous articles and interviews in the field of contemporary art and design, and was the coeditor-in-chief of Designisso magazine from 2015 to 2023. As a recipient of the Hungarian National Excellence Program scholarship, he focused on issues of design and artistic research. Later, he was active as a visiting researcher at the School of Creative Media of the City University of Hong Kong. He also has a background in Design and Art Management, Aesthetics, and Law.
