The Hungarian Forum for Somaesthetics aims to represent Hungarian scholars and professionals committed to participating in and contributing to the interdisciplinary discourse and practices of somaesthetics. Somaesthetics is a broad field of research devoted to the critical study and meliorative cultivation of the experience and use of the living body (soma) as a site of sensory appreciation (aesthesis) and creative self-stylization. As a non-profit entity, the Hungarian Forum for Somaesthetics is designed to interact on an equal footing with peer academic organizations, associations, and forums in other countries.
